CANADIAN ROCKIES

PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS AND WORKSHOPS

I offer private in-field photographic workshops and guided tours. With over 25 years of local experience and knowledge across all Canadian Rockies National and Provincial Parks and Alberta’s foothills region, I’m able to take you to the best locations for making compelling images. We can customize your tour to a location and subjects you are interested in while making the most of the conditions at the time. I will get you to the right place at the right time. Whether you just want to learn how to use your camera and come back from your vacation with images that you can be proud of or you are an advanced photographer looking for a local photography guide, I can accommodate your needs.

To schedule a time-specific tour like a wildflowers bloom, fall colors or winter photography of hoarfrost, frozen methane bubbles or for any other inquiries please contact me directly.

   Thank you.

General Information

   Camera Gear

To get the most out of The Canadian Rockies Photography Tours and Workshops I highly recommend to have:

  • Digital SLR camera / Mirrorless Camera for creative control.

  • Wide Angle and Telephoto Zooms / Lenses

  • Tripod. It.s essential when using longer exposure at sunrise/sunset, or for special effects.

  • Extra Batteries. They empty much faster in very cold weather or when using LiveView.

   Good to have:

  • Remote / Shutter Release. It helps with image sharpness by eliminating camera vibration.

  • Filters. I use Polarizer filters to control glare from water or wet surfaces, and Natural Density filters ( 5 stops and 10 stops ) to increase the exposure length for special effects.

  • Spare Memory Cards

  • Headlamp

   Weather

Weather in the Canadian Rockies can be very unpredictable and can change fast, it’s always good to be prepared with a hat, gloves, good footwear, and a warm jacket. This kind of weather can also be the most rewarding for nature photography, it defines the mood of any landscape.

Workshops will only be canceled if there is a weather warning issued by Environment Canada.

   Cancellation and Refund Policy

I understand that attending photography workshops requires advance commitment and that sometimes things can happen that may require you to cancel from the workshop. Depended on cancellation date, the following apply:

- More than 60 days before the tour/workshop start date: full refund of any payments made.

- 60-15 days before the start of the tour/workshop: 70% refund of any payments made.

- Within 14 days of the start of the tour/workshop: no refund.

Although very rare, there is always the possibility that I may have to cancel a tour/workshop, and I reserve the right to do so. Should that be the case, your fee will be refunded in full.
